The Objective was to build my own Alien World Concept, but I also needed a wallpaper for my computer at the time. God, was this an extensive processes. I am genuinely lucky that I made some concept art of what I wanted to make by the end of this project. However, I still failed at it. For the most part I think I still achieved what was possible from the concept art, but I feel like I’ve improved it tenfold. The stylistic change to Cel Shading was a suggestion from Mohammed Al-Khulaifi and it was truly an amazing suggestion otherwise the final project would’ve looked something like image 18 (ew). I learned so much just by messing around for example. CONES SAVED MY LIFE. The Tusk? Cone with the bend effect on. The grass? Cones with the bend effect on. I tried 4 different ways to get the grass to work out (I wish I had all those screenshots of me failing) and because of the geometry and density, it was impossible to render. Thus, the idea of making a cone with bend properties came to me once more. All in all I had amazing fun with this and I hope I get to keep doing this in the future.

Initialize Beta Protocol

The objective was to make an opening title for a TV Show of your own creation. After much deliberation and mood board iterations, I came up with Initialize Beta Protocol. Initially, the plan never included any use of cel shading. I wanted it to go a different more realistic look, but the stylization came when I saw it turned on by accident and it just looked so much better than its counter part. The most difficult was even thinking of concepts for the title. I genuinely had no idea what I was doing for so much of the time, but the input I had from my peers Shaikha, William, and Mahnoor really helped me make this project even better.

A Scene from Initialize Beta Protcol

The objective was to make a scene from the Title Sequence that you made. God, was this a race to the finish line. I wanted to do so much with this scene, but alas with the time crunch I had to make do. The original idea was to have another person come into the office asking for help and our main character, after some theatrics, putting them in handcuffs or putting them in jail. But now I made it more of a starting of an episode right before the title sequence type of scene. At one point the render times for 1 shot took 5 or 6 hours at a time, so I thought of something. I render 1 frame from the shot in 4k and essentially do the camera movement in Premiere. What turned from a 7 hour render would become a 30 minute render. Saving my hind and then some. I also used videos of myself walking and removing my glasses so I would have some reference as to what to animate. I wish I was better at that part though. Oh well. In my opinion, this is of much lower standard than my previous work. I feel like this could’ve been so much better if I had more time to hone my skills and actually refine this. It is what it is, however. I hope you enjoy.
